Job Description
The Compensation Consultant – Corporate is responsible for leading the support of the corporate functions’ strategy including design, and implementation of Advance Auto Parts’ compensation programs. This role also supports the development of the annual compensation strategy, with analysis and modeling as needed. This leader will be supporting numerous functions with a variety of needs and unique compensation requirements and therefore has a significant impact on the business and our people. S/He will play a significant role in partnering internally with leaders across the organization to ensure best-in-class service and advocacy for our Team Members.
The incumbent in this role should be a thought leader with strong attention to detail, accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth company. This role will report to the Director, Compensation.
Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development: Lead the development of an annual and 3-year compensation strategy for our corporate compensation programs by providing modeling and analyses that assess different scenarios based on recommendations.

Program Support: Supports program effectiveness by analyzing internal and external competitiveness through survey assessments bi-annually, analyze expected returns-on-investment and determine actual investments versus approved annual operating budgets; perform periodic program-specific reporting to leadership with appropriate KPIs.

Compensation Administration: Partner with the Compensation Administration and Payroll teams to ensure accuracy of the day-to-day and annual administration of our compensation programs. Work with teams to resolve issues as needed.

Compensation Consultancy: Ensures team members’ understanding and engagement with our compensation plans by delivering creative, innovative, timely and relevant communications and education tools. Work with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders to deliver compensation solutions that meet the needs of the business. Ensure appropriate communication and change management, as needed.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ year’s progressive experience in Human Resources, with a focus on compensation design and administration
- Advanced Excel and presentation development skills required
- Experience working in a Fortune 300 organization preferred
- WorkDay experience highly desirable
Location & Work Availability:
This position is Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote), based at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.
