Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing analytical support for the design and execution of compensation programs aligned with business strategy. Key responsibilities include conducting data analysis, benchmarking, and supporting program administration under the guidance of senior consultants or managers. Job expectations include applying independent judgment and contributing to compensation strategy through accurate and timely insights.
The Compensation Consultant will join the Global Markets/Global Corporate & Investment Banking/Enterprise Credit/Global Risk Management Compensation Reporting team. Will be a key resource for compensation reporting and analytics, partnering with Compensation teams to deliver data-driven insights that inform compensation strategy and decisions. This role is responsible for designing, producing, and maintaining standardized and ad hoc compensation reporting, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and governance.
The role will focus on advanced quantitative analysis, trend identification, and the development of dashboards and reporting tools to support compensation planning cycles and ongoing business needs. The Consultant will also translate complex compensation data into clear insights for senior stakeholders and drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, automation, and data management.
Responsibilities:
Develop, produce, and maintain recurring and ad hoc compensation reports, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data
Analyze internal and external compensation data (including market benchmarking) to support program design, business insights, and decision-making
Support the administration of compensation processes with a focus on data integrity, reporting governance, and process efficiency
Lead line of business compensation reporting and analytics throughout the year, with a primary focus on year-end compensation planning and review cycles
Administers compensation processes in alignment with organizational guidelines
Provide analytical support and reporting insights for compensation-related activities, including new hire offers, promotions, retention actions, and forecasting
Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities through automation, dashboard development, and process improvements
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years of Compensation Experience or successful performance in a role with strong analytical focus
Experience working directly with leaders, advising and consulting with them on HR, Compensation, or related issues
Experience gathering, organizing, analyzing, and presenting large amounts of data clearly and concisely to help make fact-based decisions
Have strong MS EXCEL skills (familiar with lookups, conditional formulas)
Demonstrate the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and maturity
Ability to clearly “tell the story” with complex underlying data; be able to analyze present-state, and develop alternative future-state approaches
Demonstrate a business centric mindset with the ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes
Have relationship management skills including the ability to interact, communicate and influence peers and partners
Be a team player and display a strong work ethic
Demonstrate the ability to grasp a comprehensive understanding of Compensation issues and priorities; effectively analyze and diagnose problems; provide clear advice and recommendations to help make sound business decisions
