About the Role
As the Director of Compensation & Benefits, you will lead the strategy, design, and administration of our total rewards programs—including compensation, health and wellness benefits, retirement, and leave programs. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership to ensure our offerings are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.
What You’ll Do
Lead Total Rewards Strategy
- Design and oversee compensation programs including base pay, incentives, and bonuses
- Lead job architecture, leveling, and market pricing initiatives
- Partner with executive leaders on workforce planning and financial modeling
Shape Best-in-Class Benefits
- Develop and manage health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs
- Evaluate and manage vendors, brokers, and contracts
- Drive employee engagement through clear benefits communication and education
Ensure Compliance & Governance
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations (FLSA, ERISA, ACA, etc.)
- Partner with Legal and Compliance on audits, reporting, and governance frameworks
Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
- Mentor and grow a team of compensation and benefits professionals
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR business partners and senior leadership
Leverage Data & Insights
- Use HRIS and analytics to guide decision-making
- Deliver executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations
Drive Innovation & Wellbeing
- Build a holistic health and wellbeing strategy for team members and families
- Stay ahead of market trends, legislation, and emerging practices
- Measure program effectiveness and continuously improve outcomes
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive compensation and benefits experience
- Healthcare experience (hospital, health system, or medical group) preferred
- Professional certifications such as CCP, CBP, CEBS, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP are a plus
