This role sits at the intersection of healthcare finance, data analytics, and physician workforce strategy, supporting the design, analysis, and governance of compensation programs for medical professionals. You will play a key role in ensuring compensation structures are competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational and regulatory standards. Working closely with physician leadership, finance teams, and operations stakeholders, you will analyze market data, model compensation scenarios, and support annual rate planning cycles. The position involves deep analytical work, including survey benchmarking, financial modeling, and Fair Market Value assessments. You will also contribute to contract review and compliance efforts, ensuring physician agreements meet legal and organizational requirements. Accountabilities:
- Conduct physician compensation analysis, market benchmarking, and financial modeling to support compensation strategy and decision-making
- Collect, analyze, and manage data from multiple salary surveys, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and proper weighting and aging of data
- Perform Fair Market Value (FMV) assessments and support compliance with healthcare regulations such as Stark Law and Anti-Kickback provisions
- Build and maintain compensation models to evaluate financial impact of new or updated compensation structures
- Support annual physician compensation rate updates and financial planning processes
- Review physician contracts to ensure compensation alignment, clarity, and compliance with organizational standards
- Collaborate with payroll teams, HR, finance, and medical group leadership to support compensation administration and inquiries
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate compensation insights and recommendations
- Conduct audits and perform ongoing compliance checks related to physician compensation programs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Analytics, HR, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in compensation analysis, financial analysis, payroll analysis, or a related analytical role
- Strong experience working in healthcare, preferably with physician or medical group compensation structures
- Advanced analytical and data manipulation skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and data management tools; SQL experience preferred
- Strong understanding of compensation frameworks, incentive pay, and market benchmarking methodologies
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations impacting compensation (FMV, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback) is highly preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to translate complex data into clear insights
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to manage multiple priorities in a structured environment
- Experience with survey participation and compensation market data analysis is a strong plus
