About This Opportunity

CTI Staffing is partnering with a leading technology organization to find a Sales Compensation Analyst for their Sales Operations team based in Chandler, AZ (hybrid).

This team owns the strategy, transparency, and effectiveness of incentive compensation programs for a large, multi-geographical sales organization. They're looking for someone who can maintain the commission systems that drive payouts while also digging into the data to find ways to make compensation programs more effective. This role sits at the intersection of plan administration and analytics, with real visibility into how sales performance and compensation connect.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and update the commission database used to track and compute variable compensation and sales quotas
  • Review and analyze compensation plan changes on an ongoing basis
  • Serve as subject matter expert on department policies, processes, and systems
  • Resolve calculation disputes and issues by working cross-functionally with sales and finance teams
  • Perform financial analysis including performance-to-quota, reconciliation, and gross profit review
  • Identify and articulate opportunities to drive operational efficiency and profitability through modeling and forecasting
  • Build reports and dashboards that improve compensation administration and decision-making
  • Support ad-hoc research and analytical projects, including data collection, modeling, and presentation of results


Requirements

What You Bring

Must-Have:

  • 2+ years of experience in sales compensation, sales operations, business insights and analytics, finance, or a related quantitative function within a large-scale, multi-geographical sales organization
  • Expert-level knowledge in at least one of: enterprise planning, sales productivity and readiness, sales enablement, or sales operations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including model building, advanced formulas and arrays, pivot tables, and complex data manipulation
  • Strong analytical reasoning with the ability to solve problems through data
  • Ability to write clear reports and business correspondence and present findings to sales representatives and leadership
  • Experience conducting sophisticated analysis of complex data and translating results into actionable recommendations
  • Customer-service orientation with the ability to work across all levels of the organization

Nice-to-Have:

  • Prior experience specifically administering commission or incentive compensation databases
  • Experience with compensation analytics or plan modeling tools
  • Background in tech or a similarly fast-scaling sales environment
  • Experience creating dashboards or automated reporting for compensation programs

Technical Environment:

  • Advanced Excel (formulas, arrays, pivot tables, model building)
  • Commission/incentive compensation database systems
  • Business intelligence and reporting tools

What Success Looks Like:

  • Full ownership of the commission database with minimal escalation needed
  • Independently resolving calculation disputes with clear, data-backed reasoning
  • Delivering compensation analytics and dashboards that inform plan design decisions
