The Senior Compensation Analyst serves as a lead individual contributor responsible for advanced compensation analysis and program support for Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS). This role provides subject-matter expertise across compensation programs supporting hospitals, physician practices, outpatient clinics, and system services.
The Senior Compensation Analyst independently manages complex job evaluations, market pricing, and compensation analyses; partners closely with HR Business Partners, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and leaders; and plays a key role in ensuring NGHS compensation practices are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with organizational strategy.
Licensure or other certifications: HR Certification - PHR; SPHR; CCP
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum Experience: 5+ years of progressive compensation experience, preferably within a healthcare or health system environment.

Preferred Experience: Experience supporting clinical and leadership roles within a hospital or health system. Experience with HRIS and compensation management platforms (such as Workday and market pricing software)

Strong proficiency with Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling).

Lead complex job evaluations and market pricing for clinical, non-clinical, and leadership roles using healthcare-specific compensation surveys and internal job architecture.
Serve as a primary resource for maintaining and applying NGHS job families, career levels, and compensation structures.
Analyze healthcare labor market trends and provide recommendations related to pay ranges, differentials, and market adjustments.
Provide advanced support for base pay administration, including hiring offers, promotions, reclassifications, equity reviews, and retention strategies.
Serve as a key contributor to annual compensation cycles, including merit planning, market adjustments, and incentive plan administration.
Apply sound judgment and policy interpretation to support consistent, well-governed compensation decisions across the system.
Act as a compensation consultant to HR Business Partners and leaders by providing clear, data-driven guidance on complex compensation scenarios.
Support Talent Acquisition with competitive offer guidance for hard to fill and critical roles within a healthcare labor market.
Assist in educating HR and leadership on compensation philosophy, practices, and governance standards.
Design and prepare advanced compensation analyses, models, and presentations for leadership and budgeting discussions.
Support system-wide pay equity analyses, internal audits, and compliance reviews; document methodologies and findings.
Ensure compensation data integrity across HRIS, survey tools, and reports.
Ensure compensation practices comply with FLSA, pay equity regulations, and NGHS policies and internal controls.
Maintain thorough documentation supporting job evaluations, market pricing decisions, and compensation approvals.
Identify risks and recommend improvements to strengthen compensation governance and consistency.
Lead or support compensation-related projects such as system expansion, reorganizations, or program enhancements.
Serve as a mentor and resource to Compensation Analysts, sharing expertise and best practices.
Identify opportunities to improve compensation processes, tools, and reporting for efficiency and effectiveness.
