Compensation Analyst

Wellabe is looking for a Sr Agent Compensation Analyst to join our team.  The Sr Agent Compensation Analyst is responsible for complex commission set up, validation, analysis, metrics, reporting, and special projects.

Be successful in this role

Someone in this role will:

  • Configure and analyze complex commissions plans including requirement gathering and validation analysis for life and health agents according to individual commission schedule.
  •  Identify basic to complex issues in production and liaise with IT by investigating causes, submitting requests for fixes, and testing corrections. Resource for less experienced peers.
  • Build test plans, develop metrics, and conduct additional research to support the sales team with incentives and the commissions team with complex questions.
  •  Determine, analyze, and resolve complex problems by writing basic to complex SQL queries and manipulate the data to translate into consumable, easy to read reports for end users.
  • Lead and conduct testing for internal commissions systems and third-party products and vendors including developing test plans, gathering requirements, and problem identification.
  • Responsible for developing, analyzing, and compiling monthly and ad hoc reporting.
  • Lead in representing the commissions area in projects.
  • Subject matter expert on systems, queries, policies, and practices of commissions.
  • May manage direct or indirect reports including overseeing workflow, providing feedback, fostering a positive work environment, training, hiring, and performance management.
  • Train, mentor, support, and develop less experienced team members by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, processes, and practices related to business, data analytics, and related tools.
  • Technically savvy.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, IT, or related field. Combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years’ related experience.
  • Data analytics, query writing (SQL), or commission and policy application, a plus.
