Job Description:

Job Summary

The Talent & Compensation Analyst is a hybrid role that bridges Talent and Compensation operations. This position ensures compliance with Louisiana Revised Statute 17 by conducting candidate screenings for research-related positions, processes a variety of HR transactions, and supports the development of equitable compensation structures and appropriate classification. The Analyst contributes to candidate pipeline development, compensation research, and HR data analytics to promote consistency, compliance, and efficiency across the university.

Job Responsibilities

40%- Compliance, Screening, Data Integrity & Reporting:Responsible for candidate screenings, which include but are not limited to screenings with Louisiana Revised Statute 17:1826.3, verifying eligibility for research-related appointments and documenting results and auditing as it relates to the statute. Additional supplemental screenings for all employment types as needed. Partner with HR leadership, legal, and campus stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements. Maintain accurate and confidential compliance records for audit and reporting purposes.

25%- Compensation Operations & Auditing: Process compensation-related transactions in Workday, including job profile updates, salary adjustments, allowances, and reclassifications. Provides analytical and operational support to Consultants by conducting detailed reviews of requests for promotions, duty changes, organizational changes, and pay adjustments through detailed position/org. analysis. Support audits which include but are not limited to State Civil Service audits, Workday transaction audits, job description audits, etc. Support organizational change processes which includes coordination of desk reviews, questionnaires, and collection of data/recommendations. Support EIB evaluation and processing, which includes but is not limited to summer research payments, one time payments, etc. Triage compensation related emails as needed. 

20%- Talent Operations & Auditing: Support candidate life-cycle processes, including intake, posting, and offer workflows. Provides support for applications and troubleshooting, in addition to triaging email flow. Build and maintain candidate prospect pools for critical, difficult-to-fill, and visible positions (CDV roles). Assist in developing and maintaining candidate ratings, rankings, and metrics to support selection and reporting. Serve as backup on Talent related business transactions in Workday. Support audits which include but are not limited to State Civil Service audits, Workday transaction audits, etc. Support hiring processes for non-LSU out of state workers though LSU's third party employer of record (nextSource). Duties include, but are not limited to, assist with processes for identifying and completing hires for out of state workers, developing an auditing process to ensure appropriate actions are taken within the HCM by the Talent Acquisition team. 

10%-Workday Testing/Data Integrity/Reporting: Serve as HCM recruiting and compensation testing help. Work in conjunction with the TA/Compensation Subject Matter Expert and Central Support Services to support Workday testing and data conversion; planning for Workday updates to understand changes related to the Recruiting and Compensation Module, how it affects business processes and training. Monitor and maintain Workday Community engagement to include brainstorm updates as needed. Assist with troubleshooting Workday errors and glitches, etc. for the Recruiting Module. Communicate Workday-related changes to the teams and LSU community as necessary. 

5%- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree with some related experience. LSU values skills, experience, and expertise. Candidates who have relevant experience in key job responsibilities are encouraged to apply— a degree is not required as long as the candidate meets the required years of experience specified in the job description. This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure.
