GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong financial modeling capabilities, and expert-level Excel skills to ensure compensation calculations are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational strategy. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrates strong communication skills when working with physicians and leadership, and consistently meets deadlines while managing complex compensation structures. This role also requires a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and highly confidential physician compensation data, contracts, and financial information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, maintain, and administer physician compensation models for gastroenterology providers.
Build and manage complex financial models in Excel to calculate physician compensation, productivity incentives, and performance-based payments.
Analyze productivity metrics including wRVUs, collections, procedure volumes, and ancillary services.
Create and maintain reports using Power BI (PBI) to provide visibility into physician productivity and compensation metrics.
Utilize NetSuite and Vena to support financial reporting, data reconciliation, and compensation tracking.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual compensation reports for leadership and physicians.
Assist in modeling compensation packages for new physician recruits and contract renewals.
Communicate compensation plan details clearly to physicians and leadership teams.
Performs any other duties and/or special projects assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
5+ years of experience in physician compensation, healthcare finance, or provider analytics.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling expertise, and large dataset analysis.
Experience using Oracle, Hyperion/Essbase, Power BI (PBI), NetSuite or similar ERP/financial systems, and Vena.
Demonstrated ability to work with and analyze complex datasets while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting specialty physician practices, particularly gastroenterology or other procedural specialties.
Familiarity with physician productivity metrics such as wRVUs and collections-based compensation models.
Background working with large physician groups or multi-site practices.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment. Travel required as business needs dictate.
