Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 32 countries and territories in North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. The Opportunity:
As part of a collaborative and high-performing compensation team, you will have the opportunity to contribute, influence, and leave your mark on compensation programs and processes across a fast-growing global enterprise.
Reporting to the Compensation Manager, you will support Sunoco’s compensation philosophy and strategy for more than 6,000 employees across 36 countries. We are looking for a compensation professional who is curious, adaptable, analytically strong, and energized by working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Working closely with leaders and colleagues across Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean, the successful candidate will support a broad range of compensation programs, projects, and strategic initiatives while partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities:
Support compensation programs including base salary administration, incentive plans, market pricing, job evaluations, and compensation recommendations.
Support annual compensation cycles through analysis, reporting, troubleshooting, governance, and communications.
Lead and support compensation projects and transformation initiatives in partnership with HR, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HRIS, and business leaders.
Support Sunoco’s Long-Term Incentive Program (LTIP) while partnering closely with Energy Transfer and plan participants.
Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the organization’s global job architecture and leveling framework.
Analyze market data and compensation trends to ensure programs remain competitive and aligned with company strategy.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, governance, controls, and overall effectiveness of the compensation function.
Education:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field (Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Commerce, etc.).
- CCP or CPHR designations considered an asset.
Requirements:
5–8+ years of progressive compensation and total rewards experience with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel capabilities.
Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP, UKG (UltiPro), or SuccessFactors.
Ability to work with large datasets and translate analysis into meaningful recommendations and business insights.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
