About the Role

As the Compensation Analyst, you will support the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that align with JSX’s compensation philosophy and business strategy. You’ll perform job evaluations, market pricing, and data analysis to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.

This role partners closely with HR Business Partners, department leaders, and Finance to provide insights and guidance on pay decisions, structure design, and compensation compliance.

A Day in the Life

You’ll...

  • Conduct job evaluations and market pricing using salary surveys and compensation tools to benchmark positions.
  • Analyze internal and external compensation data to support salary structure design, pay range development, and pay equity assessments.
  • Assist in the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, bonus calculations, and salary adjustments.
  • Prepare compensation-related reports and dashboards to support business leaders and HR partners.
  • Support the development and maintenance of compensation policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to advise on pay decisions, job classifications, and compensation actions.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and maintain survey data libraries.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, RLA, Pay Transparency).
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations for compensation-related projects and programs.

Responsibilities / Day in the Life Tasks

Program Strategy & Development

  • Conduct market analysis to benchmark positions and support compensation structure design.
  • Develop and maintain salary structures, pay ranges, and compensation tools.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to implement equitable and competitive pay programs.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Build and analyze reports to evaluate pay equity, market competitiveness, and compensation trends.
  • Provide data-driven insights for program development and policy recommendations.
  • Monitor compensation trends and provide recommendations for program updates.

Compliance & Collaboration

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pay regulations and transparency laws.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and department leaders on compensation actions.
  • Maintain data integrity and documentation related to compensation processes.

Required Education & Experience

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in compensation, HR analytics, or related field.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of compensation regulations and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present data in a clear, actionable format.

Preferred

  • Experience with market pricing tools (e.g., Payscale, Payfactors, Mercer).
  • Experience with HRIS reporting and data analytics.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.

Pay & Perks

Compensation is $70,000 to $80,000 annually. This was established after performing market research and is aligned with our approach to compensation.
