As the Senior Compensation Analyst, you will serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert across cash, equity, and headcount programs. You will conduct high-level compensation analyses, support program design, and maintain core compensation structures, audits, and trackers. You will lead equity administration processes, including preparing materials for the Compensation Committee, and oversee position management/headcount governance. You will also support annual compensation cycles, contribute to incentive plan analysis, and partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to deliver clear, compliant, and well communicated Total Rewards programs.
Core Duties / Responsibilities:
- Lead all equity related processes, including preparing analyses and materials for Compensation Committee approvals, coordinating grant recommendations, and executing end-to-end equity administration (grant creation, participant communications, vesting, cancellations, and tracking).
- Maintain equity trackers and ensure alignment with Finance, Legal, and external partners, including Merrill Lynch/Bank of America or similar platforms.
- Conduct SOX/SOC audits, ensure compensation data integrity, and assess regulatory or legislative changes for pay structure compliance.
- Prepare compensation dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior executives and the Board.
- Serve as primary owner of headcount governance and position control, ensuring accurate job architecture, FTE tracking, and organizational hierarchy alignment.
- Partner with HR and Finance on workforce planning, forecasting, and requisition approval workflows.
- Complete job evaluations and market pricing using external data and internal structures.
- Maintain and refine salary structures, job families, and compensation frameworks.
- Perform compensation analytics including competitive assessments, compression reviews, and incentive modeling.
- Support annual compensation cycles, including salary increases, bonus programs, and long‑term incentive administration.
- Participate in compensation surveys and external benchmarking initiatives.
- Develop, improve, and maintain compensation SOPs, process documentation, and internal procedures.
- Provide consultative compensation guidance to HR and business leaders and communicate complex compensation and equity concepts clearly.
- Empower leaders with accurate, timely data to support decision‑making.
- Manage medium‑ to large‑scale projects, support process improvements, contribute to departmental initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Provide informal leadership to junior team members through coaching, workload coordination, and review of complex compensation analyses.
What it takes to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business, or related field.
- At least 5 years of directly related work experience.
- Hands‑on experience with annual bonus cycles and long‑term equity administration required.
- Experience with external equity platforms such as Merrill Lynch/Bank of America strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (modeling, complex formulas, pivots, scenario analysis) required.
- Demonstrated excellence in written communication, including executive‑ready presentations.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and governance.
- Experience with Workday or similar HRIS systems is a plus.
- Self‑starter with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrates a “can‑do” mindset, adaptability, and partnership orientation.
- Must have proven ability to manage multiple projects in a team environment.
