Compensation Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Compensation Analyst to join our Human Resources team for the summer term! In this role, you will support the Compensation Manager in maintaining and improving key compensation processes, tools, and analytics. This position offers hands-on experience working with HR data, reports, and workflows, making it an excellent opportunity for students interested in HR, compensation, analytics, or business operations. RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting & Analytics Support Assist in preparing recurring compensation reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery. Compile and analyze data to support compensation reviews, salary benchmarking, and pay equity initiatives. Help automate, streamline, and update reporting templates and tools, including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualizations.   Data Review & Clean-Up Conduct data integrity checks across HRIS and compensation datasets to identify inconsistencies or gaps. Support data cleanup activities by validating, standardizing, and correcting data to improve reporting reliability. Partner with Payroll and HR operations to troubleshoot data issues and confirm corrective actions.   Process Documentation & Standardization Assist in documenting compensation processes, workflows, and guidelines to create clear, organized reference materials. Update existing documents to reflect changes in practices, systems, or policies. Develop job aids, checklists, and templates to support compensation cycles and improve process efficiency.   Mid-Year Performance Cycle Support‑Year Performance Cycle Support Support the coordination and execution of the mid‑year performance process. Help prepare communications, tracking tools, and reference materials for leaders and HR partners.   General Support Provide administrative, analytical, and project support to the HR team as required.   QUALITIFICATIONS Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Management Sciences, or a related field. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets. Proficiency in Excel and Power BI and an aptitude for learning new systems. High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Strong written communication skills. Collaborative, proactive work style with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality. The base salary for this position is $21.00 hourly.
