A Brief Overview
The Compensation Manager is responsible for proactively participating in the design, implementation and analysis of compensation programs under the Total Rewards team. This important role provides compensation consultation for TriNet HR business partners and line management in the development, monitoring, and maintenance of compensation programs, procedures, and strategies. Maintains a working knowledge of federal and state legislation that may affect compensation policies.

What you will do
- Partner with Global Rewards team, People Business Partners, India People Head & India Leadership to develop, improve and implement the most effective and efficient solutions for the achievement of business goals and maintenance of competitive practices, including resolving compensation issues with appropriate recommendations.
- Analyzes pay practices and makes recommendations for salary changes in order to ensure cost-effective solutions and programs and internal equity.
- Oversees the development and maintenance of job descriptions for positions within assigned organizations.
- Conducts job analyses that determine appropriate salary levels in accordance with the organization's compensation policies and guidelines.
- Establishes and implements competitive salary structures and practice guidelines according to the Company's compensation policy.
- May assist in corporate compensation programs including base compensation, corporate bonus plans, equity plans, annual compensation cycle, support for performance management and executive compensation, reporting and other special projects to support and drive the achievement of business goals.
- Provides compensation expertise to Corporate HR on compensation practices, emerging workforce challenges, and developing creative and innovative solutions and programs.
- Create and implement communications to support compensation initiatives.
- Review and approve salary increases permitted within budgetary limits and according to established compensation policies.
- Provide analysis and review of the accurate classification of employees under the laws relating to wages, minimum wage, payment of wages and other key laws addressing wages, working hours and conditions of employment.
- Ensure the development and execution of documentation for all compensation plan documents and summaries comply with applicable compensation laws and regulations in India or other documents to assure compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of central, state and local compensation laws and regulations to support compliance.
- Other ad-hoc projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- Master's Degree in Human Resources preferred
Experience Qualifications
- Typically 8+ years of compensation related experience, including compensation program design, implementation, and analysis
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing and/or managing thorough compensation plans
- Solid experience using a benchmarking and survey analysis
- Demonstrates ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of human resources policies, processes and workflow, including thorough understanding of compensation and related state and federal laws
- Excellent negotiating/influencing skills across all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with employees at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of both state and federal employment laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel Skills
Licenses and Certifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
