Compensation Manager
Description

The Compensation Manager (Hybrid Ann Arbor) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing NSF International’s global compensation programs to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance with international regulations. This role requires expertise in executive compensation, global pay structures, sales incentive plan design, and equity programs. The position will also support compensation integration during mergers and acquisitions.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Global Compensation Strategy & Administration
    • Design and manage global compensation programs, including base pay structures, incentive plans, and equity programs.
    • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and market competitiveness across multiple regions.
  • Executive Compensation
    • Administer executive compensation programs, including short-term and long-term incentives, deferred compensation, and equity plans.
    • Partner with Legal and Finance to ensure compliance with governance requirements.
  • Sales Incentive Plan Management
    • Design and administer global sales compensation plans that drive performance and align with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with Sales leadership and Finance to ensure accurate calculations and payouts.
  • Compliance & Governance
    • Ensure adherence to global compensation laws and regulations, including pay equity and disclosure requirements.
    • Maintain documentation and audit readiness for compensation programs.
  • Budget Management & Financial Analysis
    • Manage global compensation budgets and partner with FP&A to ensure accuracy and forecasting.
    • Deliver compensation trend analysis and recommendations to the Director, Global Total Rewards & People Solutions.
  • M&A Integration
    • Conduct compensation due diligence during acquisitions.
    • Develop integration strategies for acquired entities’ pay structures and incentive programs.
  • Equity Program Support (Preferred)
    • Assist in administration of global equity programs, including grants, vesting schedules, and compliance.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management
    • Collaborate with external consultants and internal stakeholders to optimize compensation programs.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation management with global scope.
    • Expertise in executive compensation and sales incentive plan design.
    • Experience with equity programs and M&A integration strongly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and modeling skills.
    • Knowledge of global compensation laws and governance requirements.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
