Are you ready for an exciting role in our Human Resources Compensation team? We are looking for a Compensation Specialist to join our team! In this role you will provide deep subject matter expertise in all aspects of compensation to the enterprise ensuring that compensation programs are technically sound and administered in an operationally excellent manner. You will also develop and deliver best practice compensation solutions (i.e., policies and programs) to the enterprise that are aligned with company strategy and market prevalence. provide client support and participate in the design and administration of compensation structures, policies and programs, conduct job evaluation and ensure the ongoing competitiveness of compensation through participation and analysis of market surveys.

What you will do:
Provide compensation advice to HR Business Partners, HR Advisory Services and potentially Business Managers on complex compensation issues.
Design, advise and make recommendations to resolve compensation issues and questions ensuring that compensation practices, programs and solutions align with the long-term objectives of Enbridge.
Develop and document supporting policies, processes and procedures.
Remain knowledgeable and current with best and emerging practices, legislative requirements (Pay Equity, FLSA, ESA, etc.) and professional standards of practice. Identify leading practices and opportunities for improvement in compensation practices, processes and procedures.
Conduct job evaluations, make salary recommendations and provide sound compensation consulting support for assigned clients and serve as a sounding board/escalation point for more junior team members on these matters.
May Lead and/or a key participant in the execution of the annual compensation review cycle including system setup, plan administration, reporting an award communication along with key HR stakeholders. Deliver accurate compensation outcomes and a positive employee experience through all stages of this highly visible production cycle. Success requires strong organizational and project management skills and effective collaboration across HR to ensure aggressive timelines are met through fully engaged stakeholders with clearly defined roles.
Develop and communicate a process documentation methodology to support and ensure strong technical process documents are created and maintained across the compensation function to support sustainability of Enbridge’s compensation programs.
Who you are:
You have the following qualifications and skills:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources or related area and a minimum of 6 years of compensation experience, preferably in the energy industry.
Completed or working towards Certified HR Professional (CHRP, PHR or SHRM-CP designation) is considered an asset.
Possess or progress towards a professional designation considered an asset i.e., HR or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Labour Legislation related to supporting compensation policies and programs.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Resourceful and highly results oriented with analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive, confidential, and complex issues with sound judgment, tact, and discretion.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Business acumen and awareness of leading-edge practices in the field of compensation.
Strong Excel knowledge and experience developing cost models with multiple data sources.
Experience working in and with Workday and with customer relationship management (CRM) systems like Neocase is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
Office environment.
Ability to deal with conflicting priorities and a demanding workload supporting various groups within HR.
Some additiona hours / work schedule flexibility required during production of Annual Compensation cycle(Q1).
Infrequent business travel with both Canada and the U.S.; valid passport is required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
