The Compensation Specialist provides high-level customer support for the Compensation department and supports the maintenance and integrity of HR data in all HR Systems. The Compensation Specialist is responsible for processing Personnel Actions Request (PAR) forms. Duties include evaluating the type of request, determining what HR functional area should respond to the request, routing the request to the appropriate area, and processing employee transactions in the HRIS system. Provides customer services support by serving as the primary point person for answering the Compensation Department's telephone line; provides administrative support through drafting letters, responding to emails, filing, and responding to requests to gather information from employee files; gathers data for DNV survey and other surveys as requested. Edits, updates, and creates job descriptions in the system at the request of the Compensation team members. Review resumes and gathers employee work-related experience data as needed for compensation studies. Works closely with the Compensation team and IT HRIS system team to understand and edit pay codes to ensure compensation is applied appropriately based on approved pay practices. Works closely with payroll to address any questions or concerns related to employee compensation. Update and log transactions on the team SmartSheet as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.Description:

Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or other related field (Required)
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience
3 or more years HR experience to include HRIS data management or compensation administration (Required)
1 or more years experience with Workday HR (Preferred)
Essential Functions
Supports the maintenance and integrity of HR data in all HR Systems.
Process and record Personnel Action Requests (PAR).
Maintain job profiles and job classifications to ensure compensation is applied appropriately based on approved pay practices.
Works closely with payroll to address any questions or concerns related to employee compensation.
Assisting with market pricing jobs and salary survey participation
Respond to DNV audit information requests.
Calculate employee work-related experience data as needed for compensation studies.
Additional Duties

Maintains current Knowledge in present areas of responsibility to include any specialty certification requirements (i.e., self-education, attends ongoing educational programs).
Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs. For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
