Job Description

   

Join our global HR team as a Compensation Specialist (Total Rewards). You will be stepping into an international & dynamic environment with plenty of opportunities to learn.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and administration of SUSE's compensation programs globally. This role ensures competitive and equitable pay practices, aligning with business objectives and local regulations.

We are flexible regarding the listed country locations, and can support remote (home) working.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Partnering with external vendors and brokers to gain external market data on local Rewards practices and norms, with a focus on compensation and incentives   

  • Identifying opportunities to improve current policies, processes, communications and plans  

  • Researching best pricing options for the Company either on a global, regional or local country level, consolidating vendors where possible  

  • Coordinating the annual renewal processes of Total Reward programs and plans, together with our partners and vendors 

  • Ensuring governance of Reward approaches across multiple jurisdictions, including occasional audits, reporting, and analyzing and interpreting data  

  • Managing processes related to employer-sponsored Reward plans, this may include: bonus plans and LTI plans 

  • Typical Reward BAU activities and cycles (pay range updating, job architecture housekeeping,  and year-end processes, for example)

  • Project management including 

  • Partnering with People and Finance Business Partners, Payroll and HR Operations teams in order to understand and respond to local requirements, trends, and demand

  • Partnering with Finance, Tax, Procurement, IT and Legal regarding costs, budgeting, vendor changes, new programs, and strategic projects 

  • Compensation and Benefits Process reengineering, automation, and optimization  

  • Supporting Total Rewards strategy, Executive compensation, and incentive plan queries and  related management

  • Working with Works Councils and Unions on Reward matters  

  • Supporting team members across Reward and beyond, for Employee Benefits or Job Architecture work, for example  

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Compensation and Benefits / Reward

  • Proven experience working in a multi-country, dynamic, fast-paced and complex environment 

  • Proficiency in interpreting and analyzing data, problem solving, and providing professional insights and recommendations

  • Strong analytical skills and a high level of IT literacy are essential, particularly advanced Excel / Google Sheets 

  • Prior experience in implementing new Compensation / Benefits programs and platforms would be advantageous

  • Change management and project management experience, and experience working with multiple stakeholders  

  • HRIS system / Workday experience is an advantage
