The Total Rewards/ Compensation Specialist will provide compensation analysis and support for our compensation processes and programs. This role will partner with other members of the Total Rewards team to effectively execute on strategic initiatives so that the organization can attract, motivate and reward our talent.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Evaluates and analyzes market data and research to determine competitive positioning of our salary ranges and pay programs.
  • Utilizes analytical insights to develop and present meaningful recommendations.
  • Work with HRBPs and Leadership at all levels of the organization to evaluate the important aspects of all jobs in the company, document the essential job functions and minimum qualifications, and recommend changes to make job descriptions clean, accurate and compliant.
  • Support complex research and analysis associated with special compensation programs or projects as requested.
  • Contribute to the development of pay policies, processes, guidelines, and standards to effectively support business objectives and appropriately balance risk.
  • Assist and support the annual compensation planning process including system testing and consulting with HR partners and leaders.
  • Review proposed salary increases and provide feedback based on analysis of the labor market and internal equity.
  • Setup, maintain, and update HR data systems Compensation fields and reports to ensure proper naming conventions and formatting consistency.
  • Monitor compensation market trends to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Participate in internal and external wage surveys and provide detailed analysis of those results.
  • Provide detailed data and analysis of market conditions related to pay.
  • Recommend pay and policy changes to the Total Rewards leadership team.
  • Maintain, update and distribute pay policies in conjunction with the Total Rewards leadership team.
  • Extract, analyze and report data to provide potential solutions and process improvements.
  • Develop and document enhancements to streamline internal processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Audit compensation programs to ensure they are compliant with company policies and Federal/State regulations.
  • Proactively support all Merger & Acquisition initiatives.
  • Create detailed and accurate ad-hoc reports that are clear and easy for the end user to understand.
  • Assist HRBPs/Leadership and team members with compensation related issues. Proactively drives process improvements.
  • Action-oriented, hands-on, able to work independently and collaboratively with a sense of urgency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and experience:

  • BA/BS degree, preferably with emphasis in HR, Accounting, Finance or General Business or equivalent work experience.3-5 years of Compensation experience.
  • Experience working with compensation surveys and survey vendors.
  • Strong experience working with HR Data Systems.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to gather, analyze and organize data to make effective decisions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Self-motivated and able to troubleshoot, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly collaborative team player with a track record of building relationships and establishing credibility at all levels.
  • Ability to effectively manage a variety of projects.
  • Must be local for this role.
