The Role
We are looking for a Deferred Compensation Specialist who thrives on organization, communication, and problem-solving. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing clients' deferred compensation plans (401k, 403b, etc.). You will collaborate with clients, Third Party Administrators, Record Keepers, and Brokers to ensure accurate plan configurations and compliance with relevant regulations. This position involves both strategic collaboration with external partners and hands-on operational duties such as audits, plan builds, and data imports, requiring strong attention to detail and time management skills.

What You'll Do

  • Design, manage, and facilitate the deferred compensation process for CTR and their clients.

  • Act as a key liaison between clients and 401(k) providers, ensuring smooth plan setup and addressing any deferred compensation-related issues.

  • Review and validate plan documents before submission for installation, including consulting with clients on 401(k) plan compliance and system set up.

  • Drive resolution of escalated issues related to deferred compensation and 401(k) plans.

  • Maintain system settings for deferred compensation and conduct annual testing and updates for compliance.

  • Assist with the implementation of clients' retirement plans, ensuring accuracy with the clients plan information.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within deferred compensation management.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business preferred

  • Minimum of three years related experience

  • Detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with co-management, and internal and external customers

  • Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems
  • A collaborative team player who can also lead when needed

  • Someone who embodies our values: All In, Relentless Problem Solver, and Exercising the Basics

Why Join CTR?

  • Be part of a company with a 60+ year legacy of success and stability

  • Work in a supportive, team-oriented environment where people genuinely care

  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement

  • A culture that values balance, respect, and making life easier for our clients-and each other

  • Competitive compensation and benefits package

If you want to be part of a team that works hard, celebrates success, and is dedicated to solving challenges others walk away from, we'd love to meet you.
