Executive Compensation Manager

What You Will Do

  • The Executive Compensation Manager position, within the Corporate Human Resources Total Rewards organization, is responsible for executive job evaluation, job leveling and compensation benchmarking processes.  This role will also independently manage assigned workstreams while partnering to support broader team priorities and deliverables.
  • Obtains deep understanding of the organization, job structure and job requirements by partnering with the business unit Total Rewards teams to collect relevant data and resolve questions or missing information related to executive job evaluations and leveling requests.
  • Evaluates executive roles for all Company executives through the use of comparative analysis and Mercer’s International Position Evaluation (IPE) methodology; provides management with job level recommendations.
  • Supports the executive job evaluation and leveling governance process, ensuring executive leveling tools and systems of record remain accurate and current.
  • Manages the Job Evaluation template and related updates to ensure consistent capture of required job information across all executive roles.
  • Prepares and submits RTX executive compensation data to select survey vendors on an annual basis.
  • Analyzes executive compensation survey data and develops recommendations for executive salary structure movement and market positioning.
  • Maintains and updates executive job benchmarking within internal systems to ensure alignment with the most current market data.
  • Supports ad hoc market data requests from the RTX businesses, including market pricing and compensation recommendations.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior project management experience and knowledge of process development and documentation.
  • Experienced and proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Background in a large multinational company.
  • Prior experience with benchmarking/market pricing, compensation survey submission, job evaluations and job leveling.
  • High degree of professional ethics and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities and identify critical paths for resolution.
  • Experience with MarketPay and Mercer’s International Position Evaluation (IPE) systems or comparable systems.

Location

  • Remote – This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
