The Manager, Compensation Business Partner provides strategic leadership in designing, evaluating, and implementing enterprise-wide compensation programs that advance Sentara’s mission to improve health every day and to be the trusted partner to individuals and the community.
Guided by Sentara’s core values—People, Quality, Patient Safety, Service, and Integrity—this leader ensures compensation strategies that are competitive, equitable, compliant, and supportive of a high-performing, mission-driven workforce.
Acting with a business partner mindset, this role builds credibility and confidence with leaders by translating organizational needs into effective pay solutions that reflect Sentara’s commitments to dignity, respect, collaboration, and stewardship.
This position manages a team of Compensation Program Managers and analysts and serves as a strategic advisor to executives, HR partners, and Talent Acquisition—ensuring Sentara’s compensation programs support the attraction, development, and retention of top talent across clinical and non‑clinical roles, for broad-based, physician and executive compensation.
