Position Summary

Serves as a subject matter expert and team lead for the company’s Job Architecture implementation. This role will play a central part in designing and rolling out the company’s first enterprise-wide job architecture framework, including developing job families, levels, and evaluation methodology. The position will lead the facilitation of job evaluations, establish governance practices, and partner with HR and business leaders to ensure adoption, consistency, and alignment with organizational goals. Has shared responsibility for the day-to-day administration of compensation programs and systems for effectiveness, including but not limited to base pay programs, incentives and the annual salary planning and merit process. The emphasis of this position is on successfully implementing an maintaining governance of job architecture.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Consultation: Serves as an expert resource for the compensation department and a primary consultative resource for specific business areas and leads the design, development and implementation on compensation-related issues, plans and programs.
  • Market analysis & job evaluation: Serves as lead and expert on evaluation of market surveys and custom surveys to support and guide compensation initiatives and program design. Evaluates positions for assigned business areas. Ensures compliance with FLSA. May also perform special analyses to support business area-specific recommendations.
  • Project Management: Leads the research, development, implementation, communication and administration of compensation programs or special initiatives, including large-scale project management and change management efforts.
  • Leads the design, development, implementation, communication and administration of broad-based base pay and variable pay programs for non-bargaining employees.
  • Leads the annual compensation process and processes for updating salary structures and base pay guidelines, including the development of communications and implementation plans.
  • Leads activities related to the design and administration of executive compensation programs including base pay, annual incentive, long-term incentives, and perquisites, while ensuring programs are compliant with IRS, SEC, and regulatory requirements, in partnership with subject matter experts, such as Legal, Tax, Finance, Corporate Secretary, etc.
  • Provides analysis and data for required filings or disclosures including proxy,10(k), annual report, rate case filings, and other compliance filings.
  • Prepares research, analysis, and reporting for meeting materials for Governance, Compensation and Nominating (GCN) Committee.
  • Partner with Finance to establish methodology for tracking and providing data for accruals related to executive compensation programs.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 8 years of progressively responsible compensation experience.
  • Professional compensation certification from a recognized professional or educational organization is preferred.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of compensation issues, trends and practices required.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, planning and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make good business judgments and provide guidance on priorities and technical implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to effectively interface with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong data management, analysis and reporting skills, and solid proficiency in computer applications.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in operating within Job Architecture or Career Framework.
  • Experience consulting with Senior Stakeholders.
  • Expereince with Job design and leveling.
  • Proven ability to manage enterprise wide projects including stakeholder alignment.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $95,200.00 to $135,200.00 per year
