Description

If you are a Sales Compensation Analyst professional looking for an opportunity to expand your skills, Emerson has an exciting role for you! Based in our Chanhassen, MN location, you will be responsible for supporting the processes and reporting related to the tracking, calculation, audit and payment of sales incentive compensation and commissions. You will also ensure that variable compensation and commissions are accurately calculated and paid timely to eligible employees and representatives, according to their individual compensation plans and agreements.  Come join our fantastic finance team today!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Compensation Processing:
    • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales compensation payments related to sales incentives and commissions.
    • Ensuring payments are accurate and submitted timely.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Developing and handling sales compensation reporting to support quota performance tracking.
    • Processing journal entries related to commissions and bonus accruals.
    • Collaborating with Sales and Finance to forecast and budget for sales incentives and commissions.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    • Auditing order transactions, sales credit splits, and adjustments.
    • Ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Stakeholder Support:
    • Serving as the primary contact for Sales team inquiries related to variable incentives and commissions.
    • Handling plan exception requests as needed.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identifying and implementing operational improvements and automation opportunities.
    • Leading or supporting cross-functional projects to enhance systems and reporting tools.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) or more years of related experience
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Meticulous with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to work independently, handle several priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and large data set management
  • Experience with Power BI and Oracle E-Business Suite preferred

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $75,000-$85,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
