Senior Compensation Analyst

Lumentum is searching for a highly motivated Senior Compensation Analyst with demonstrated experience in compensation program design, market analysis, and data analytics. This role requires hands-on expertise in compensationβ€”not HR systems administrationβ€”and offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and execution of programs that attract, motivate, and retain top talent.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual compensation planning cycle (merit, bonus, equity), partnering with HR Business Partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Perform compensation benchmarking, market pricing, and survey participation to support the development and refresh of salary structures.
  • Apply compensation principles in job leveling, job mapping, and salary structure design to ensure internal consistency and external competitiveness.
  • Prepare compensation analyses and models to support compensation decisions, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Respond to compensation-related inquiries from HR and business leaders with thoughtful analysis and clear communication.
  • Develop and maintain compensation tools, templates, and educational materials to promote understanding and transparency.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline compensation processes using technology and minimize manual errors.
  • Contribute to compensation policy reviews, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of direct compensation experience (e.g., market pricing, survey participation, job leveling, and salary structure design)
  • Advanced Excel skills required, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Client-facing or stakeholder partnership experience preferred.
  • Experience using Workday or similar HRIS systems to support compensation processes is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present data-driven insights clearly and confidently.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset and a collaborative approach.

Additional Requirement:

  • Presence is required onsite 5 days/week to foster collaboration and productivity.

Pay Range:

P50-USA-1 :$94,200.00 - $134,600.00
