The Senior Compensation Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to Siemens Healthineers across the Americas, with a primary focus on the U.S. market. This role provides strategic and technical compensation consulting support aligned with business growth, regulatory requirements, and competitive talent practices in a highly regulated, innovation-driven industry. The position blends deep compensation expertise with strong client advisory, data analytics, and industry-specific insight.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Strategy & Design

  • Lead the design, evaluation, and optimization of compensation programs, including base pay, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, sales compensation, and executive rewards
  • Align compensation strategies with business objectives, product lifecycles, and commercialization models specific to medical devices
  • Advise on pay-for-performance frameworks, incentive plan effectiveness, and talent retention strategies

Industry & Regulatory Expertise

  • Apply deep knowledge of medical device industry dynamics, including R&D-intensive roles, sales organizations, and manufacturing environments
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and regional regulations, including Fair Pay/Pay Equity laws, SEC disclosure requirements, and relevant healthcare compliance considerations
  • Support clients through compensation-related due diligence for M&A, restructuring, and organizational transformations

Market Pricing & Analytics

  • Conduct market pricing using industry-specific and general compensation surveys
  • Develop job architectures, career frameworks, and leveling structures aligned with market benchmarks
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, present insights clearly to senior stakeholders

Client Consulting & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a primary compensation advisor for client engagements, building long-term, trusted relationships
  • Translate complex compensation concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for HR leaders, executives, and boards
  • Partner with internal consulting teams (e.g., HR transformation, sales effectiveness, executive rewards) to deliver integrated solutions

Governance, Equity & Transparency

  • Design and support pay governance frameworks, including policies, guidelines, and approval processes
  • Lead or support pay equity analyses and remediation strategies
  • Advise on transparency readiness, communications, and implementation strategies
  • Stay current on compensation trends, regulatory changes, and emerging practices in the medical devices sector

Required Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Professional certification preferred (CCP, GRP, CECP, or equivalent)

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive compensation experience, including consulting or advisory roles
  • Demonstrated experience supporting medical device, life sciences, or closely related healthcare organizations
  • Strong background in U.S. compensation practices; broader Americas experience is a plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced expertise in compensation design, incentive plans, and market pricing
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; advanced Excel required (HR analytics tools a plus)
  • Excellent client-facing, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment
  • High level of professional judgment, discretion, and business acumen

Geographic Scope

  • Primary focus on the United States, with support for broader Americas-based clients as needed
  • Limited travel may be required depending on client engagements

The base pay range for this position is:

$107,060 - $147,213

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
