ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As Sr. Compensation Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping performance-driven reward systems that fuel our commercial success and reflect our commitment to excellence. This critical role is responsible for the design, execution, and ongoing management of our variable compensation and Management by Objectives (MBO) bonus programs. You’ll collaborate across functions to align incentive structures with business goals, champion transparency and fairness in pay practices, and drive continuous improvement in how we recognize and reward high-impact performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

    • Lead all compensation programs ensuring alignment with organizational values and goals
    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to assess and enhance existing variable compensation and bonus plans
    • Recommend innovative incentive structures that drive performance and position our organization competitively in the market
    • Lead the implementation, monitoring, and communication of compensation policies
    • Ensure incentive payouts are calculated accurately and distributed on schedule while maintaining rigorous compliance
    • Align all compensation activities with business-critical KPIs, regulatory standards, and strategic objectives
    • Contribute to the broader total compensation strategy through market research and stakeholder engagement
    • Partner with Salesforce, ADP, and other platforms to refine systems and processes for data accuracy, automation, and scalability in compensation operations
    • Ensure seamless flow of compensation data maintaining accuracy across budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling
    • Build reporting dashboards in partnership with HR and Finance
    • Advise leadership on trends, risks, and opportunities to keep reward programs aligned with financial performance and strategic priorities through the monitorization of compensation spend

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in compensation incentive management
    • Proven track record with Management by Objectives (MBO) bonus program design and implementation
    • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to base and incentive compensation

SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Expertise in designing and executing compensation plans rooted in performance-driving principles and total rewards strategy
    • Deep understanding of MBO bonus frameworks and KPI development to align metrics with strategic business goals
    • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost modeling for compensation
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); strong analytical mindset and ability to derive actionable insights from complex data
    • Working familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., ADP) and integration across compensation platforms
    • Knowledge of compensation governance, audit standards, and compliance requirements
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders and train managers on compensation structures and tools
    • Collaborative, cross-functional mindset with a strong ability to work independently and build trusted relationships across departments
    • Highly organized and dependable; able to prioritize, multitask, and consistently meet accuracy and productivity goals
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for evaluating situations and driving informed decisions
    • Self-directed with a passion for continuous learning and professional development
    • Adaptable and willing to contribute beyond core responsibilities when needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Occasionally lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds
    • Frequently required to sit for extended periods, use hands for typing or handling, reach with hands and arms, and engage in verbal communication
