As our Sr. Compensation Specialist, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing compensation strategies that enhance business performance while ensuring equity and transparency within the organization. Working within the P&R/People & Communications (P&C) function, you will be a trusted advisor to business partners, leaders, and global stakeholders, aligning compensation practices with KONE's Pay Philosophy and local market standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the local deployment and customization of global compensation programs, such as annual compensation cycles and reward initiatives.
  • Collaborating with the Global P&R Center of Excellence to implement and refine compensation strategies, policies, and processes that align with organizational goals.
  • Conducting job evaluations using the Mercer IPE methodology to ensure appropriate grading and salary positioning.
  • Performing market research and compensation analyses to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to management.
  • Ensuring pay equity, transparency, and compliance with regulations across the Americas, including managing pay equity analyses and conducting compensation surveys.
  • Supporting incentive compensation programs, including the KONE Bonus Plan, by overseeing audits, calculations, training, and communications.
  • Partnering with Finance and regional P&R leaders on local sales and operations incentive plans and ensuring compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act requirements for non-exempt overtime calculations.
  • Translating compensation strategies into HRIS configurations and generating actionable insights through compensation dashboards and business intelligence reports.
  • Leading key global and local initiatives as part of the Annual Operating Plan, applying project management methodologies for effective delivery.
  • Acting as a collaborative consultant, facilitating cross-functional alignment and addressing complex compensation cases with strong analytical skills and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Main requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in compensation or total rewards, including leading annual cycles such as salary structures, merit reviews, bonus and incentive calculations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or a related field
  • Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, b look ups, etc)
  • Experienced in building dashboards, working with compensation data, and applying analytics to support decision-making 
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal), French proficiency (a plus)?
