As a Compensation Business Partner at Albertsons, you will provide professional level compensation support for our global compensation processes and programs. This role will partner with other members of the compensation team to effectively execute on strategic initiatives so that Albertsons can attract, motivate and reward our talent. This will include managing our survey strategy and planning, data analysis for market review, and data support for all compensation processes and projects.
The position will be based in Dallas, TX or Boise, ID.
Main responsibilities:
- Partner with HR and business leaders as a trusted advisor, using data-driven insights to shape compensation strategy, resolve complex issues, and support transparent, consistent pay decisions aligned with enterprise frameworks and governance.
- Conduct and deliver rigorous compensation analyses (e.g., offers, promotions, market adjustments, retentions), ensuring recommendations are accurate, defensible, and consistent across the organization.
- Lead compensation projects end-to-end, applying analytical rigor, independent judgment, and strategic foresight to deliver actionable recommendations with measurable business impact.
- Own assigned compensation projects end-to-end from framing the problem, to conducting analysis, to delivering recommendations — exercising independent judgment and anticipating downstream impacts.
- Manage annual and quarterly compensation cycles for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Monitor compensation market trends and best practices; translate external insights into practical recommendations that support enterprise objectives.
- Participate in survey submissions and market benchmarking activities with a strong focus on accuracy and alignment to appropriate survey matches.
- Contribute to or lead special projects (e.g., pay equity reviews, incentive design, job architecture updates) with a focus on analytical quality, ownership, and business impact

- Ability to effectively manage a variety of projects.
We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
- BA/BS degree, preferably with emphasis in HR, Accounting, Finance or General Business
- 3 – 5 years of Compensation experience
- Experience working with compensation surveys and survey vendors
- Strong experience working with HR Data & Systems (e.g. Oracle Cloud, etc.)
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to gather, analyze and organize data
- Ability to analyze data to make effective decisions
- Technical aptitude & curiosity to learn new tools
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions (e.g. HR, Data, HRIS)
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strategic thinker that can effectively present ideas to all levels of the organization
