We’re seeking a detail-oriented and tactical analyst to join our Global Total Rewards team based in Santa Monica, California.

This role plays a vital part in supporting our people with the administration and execution of UMG’s Global Equity Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) and Compensation programs across our global business. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, high-pace environment and ensure precision, compliance, and excellence across both U.S. and international markets.

This position ensures adherence to all applicable U.S. (SEC, IRS) and Dutch (AFM, tax) regulations, while working cross-functionally with teams around the world.

How we CREATE:

Global Equity Plan and ESPP Administration

  • Assist in the day-to-day administration of UMG’s Global Equity Plan and ESPP with a particular emphasis on the ESPP.

  • Support and/or oversee the planning and execution of (i) the semiannual ESPP enrollment and purchase (ii) the annual equity grant and payment cycles, in both cases ensuring a seamless experience for employees worldwide.

  • Maintain all participant and equity award related data in a third-party database and periodically validate accuracy of database information.

  • Develop and maintain proper documentation of equity and ESPP-related policies, procedures, and controls.

  • Support employee understanding of and answer questions on equity awards and stock accounts; in doing so, develop, maintain, and deliver clear and engaging employee communications, plan materials, and FAQs.

  • Generate and review for accuracy, recurring and ad-hoc reports for Finance, Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit and Legal teams for purposes of but not limited to periodic audits, financial reporting, and other filings.

  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and key partners including Legal, Payroll, Finance, Tax and HR teams.

  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements, automation, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Assist with special projects and transactions as assigned.

Compensation Administration

  • Support UMG’s global compensation programs, including salary reviews (annual and ad-hoc) and incentive pay programs (short- and long-term).

  • Develop and maintain salary ranges, job architectures, and compensation tools.

  • Conduct job analysis, conduct benchmark reviews, market price jobs, and conduct FLSA assessments.

  • Ensure compliance with minimum wage and pay transparency requirements.

  • Lead annual compensation survey participation and submissions

  • Support the configuration and execution of compensation cycles within Workday or other HR systems including any data management and administration.

  • Review employee contracts and identify/track compensation-related provisions to ensure compliance.

  • Prepare deliverables for Remuneration Committee meetings and respond to ad-hoc requests from Senior Management or Remuneration Committee Chair.

  • Draft compensation-related disclosure tables and assist with preparation of the Remuneration Report in the Annual Report and/or the Compensation Discussion & Analyst (CD&A) in the annual Proxy Statement as required under US and Dutch securities regulations.

  • Contribute to ongoing process improvements, automation, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Assist with special projects and transactions as assigned.

Bring your VIBE:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in compensation and/or equity administration within a publicly traded or multinational company (experience administrating a global ESPP a plus).

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Experience supporting a third-party stock administration system (knowledge of the Global Shares /JP Morgan equity administration platform a plus).
