The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive rewards strategy that aligns with business goals and enhances attraction, retention, and performance. The role advises HR and business leaders on compensation structures, job evaluation, and reward policies, supported by market insights and competitive benchmarking. This position leads the design and optimization of compensation, benefits, and incentive programs while partnering with Finance on cost modeling and performance alignment. Additionally, the role provides leadership and coaching to the Total Rewards team, building strong analytical and consulting capabilities to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions for the organization.Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Total Rewards Strategy & Design
Develop and refine a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy that aligns with business goals, talent needs, and market competitiveness. Lead the design of compensation frameworks and benefits programs that support attraction, retention, and performance. Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership using data-driven insights and external market intelligence.
2. Consulting & Advisory
Act as a strategic advisor to HRBPs and business leaders on compensation structures, job evaluation, workforce costing, and reward-related policy decisions. Translate complex reward concepts into clear, actionable recommendations. Market Insights & Benchmarking Oversee market research, salary surveys, and competitive benchmarking to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness. Analyze market trends and emerging reward practices (e.g., flexible benefits, wellbeing programs, pay transparency) and propose enhancements.
3. Performance & Incentive Management
Develop and optimize variable pay programs—sales incentives, bonus schemes, long-term incentive plans. Partner with Finance to model scenarios, forecast costs, and ensure alignment with budget and organizational performance.
4. Team Leadership & Capability Building
Lead, coach, and develop a team of compensation and benefits professionals.
Build consulting capabilities within the team—problem-solving, analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills. Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and data-driven team culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master degree in HR, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Compensation & Benefits / Total Rewards.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or team lead role.
Strong background in consulting (HR consulting, reward advisory, or management consulting).
- Experience developing reward strategies for medium to large organizations.
Strategic thinking with an ability to balance business needs and employee experience.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills using data.
