Description

Manage the Worker’s Compensation claims process as it relates to those individuals who have been off work for more than one year.  The Analyst will review Worker’s Compensation claims and track medical progress of associates and compliance with Ralphs Leave of Absence Policy. Interaction with Ralphs Store Managers, Sedgwick, Ralphs Legal Department & Ralphs Labor Relations Department is required to determine appropriate action with each claim. Responsibilities
  • Provide a single point of contact to Store Managers, Ralphs Legal Department, Ralphs Labor Relations & Sedgwick for medical progress on long term leaves of absence.
  • Monitor Ralphs Leave of Absence Policy as it related to individuals out on long term leave of absence due to Worker’s Compensation claims.
  • Ensure compliance on all Worker’s Compensation claims/leaves of absence with the appropriate Retail Clerk contracts.
  • Recommend appropriate course of action on expired leaves of absence for Worker’s Compensation claims.
  • Comply with Corporate policies.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner, consistent with corporate policies and local, state and federal laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain working relationships and represent the Company’s interests with local, state and federal law enforcement.
  • Serve as a liaison with Sedgwick, Labor Relations, Legal, District Managers and Store staff on Worker’s Compensation claims.
  • Partner with Sedgwick, Labor Relations, District Managers, District Staff and Store Staff to execute our business plan.

Qualifications

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of HRIS, InfoPac and Business Objects.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle diverse situations and ability to work with little oversight
  • Strong communication skills and a high degree of initiative and motivation.
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours.
  • Must be available to assist other Kroger divisions if needed.
