Description

The Compensation Administrator supports the design, assessment, and administration of compensation programs that attract, motivate, and retain a high-performing workforce. This role assists in evaluating the current state of compensation strategies and practices to ensure they align with WMATA's business objectives, operational priorities, and market competitiveness.


Key responsibilities include contributing to the development, implementation, and oversight of organization-wide compensation governance frameworks. The Compensation Administrator helps ensure consistency, fairness, and equity across pay practices by monitoring adherence to established policies, conducting data analyses, and providing guidance to HR partners and business leaders.


This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret compensation data and market trends. The role plays a critical part in promoting transparency and understanding of compensation programs while supporting a culture of equity and performance excellence across the organization.Β 

Requirements


Education/ Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Behavioral Science.

Seven (7) years of compensation experience as a compensation administrator, manager or analyst.Β
