Your Job: The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the Methodist Health System (MHS) compensation programs by monitoring and maintaining pay systems/processes; reviewing or completing pay transactions; researching and analyzing competitive market compensation data and developing recommendations based on findings; and providing guidance and interpretation to managers, supervisors, and employees. Your Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. 6+ years in compensation area will be accepted in lieu of Bachelor's degree with a strong understanding of compensation practices and trends. • 2-4 years in compensation area required with a strong understanding of compensation practices and trends. • Experience with Lawson, SuccessFactors, and a pay survey database preferred. • Strong applied math skills. • Excellent analytical and computational skills. • Advanced proficiency in Excel and aptitude for data reporting tool methodology and fundamentals. • Excellent organizational, project and time management skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage shifting, and sometimes competing, priorities and deadlines. • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all matters related to employee compensation. • 5 years' experience in compensation principles, practices, and analysis. • Healthcare experience highly desired. Your Job Responsibilities: • Monitors and reviews documentation for all HR transactions of current employees (Personnel Action Forms – PAFs). Determines accuracy and alignment with current policies, guidelines, and practices. Approves for implementation or returns to the initiator for revision. • Maintains the referral, sign-on, and retention bonus processes. Sets up payments to eligible employees in HR/Payroll database. Processes bonus repayments for departing employees who did not complete their agreement. • Analyzes and provides supporting documentation for new job requests; prepares memorandums for approval. Establishes salary ranges, job codes and position numbers in the HR database for all new/revised positions. Maintains historical compensation files. • Assists in research, analysis, and preparation of information to be presented at the compensation committee meeting. • Processes updates/changes in HR/Payroll systems; calculates and implements market adjustments based on approved salary range or rate changes. • Maintains documentation/policies pertaining to all pay practices.
