Compensation Analyst

Job Description

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting with the administration of the Company's compensation programs including but not limited to long-term incentives (Equity Awards), short-term incentives (variable and incentive compensation plans and bonuses), the maintenance of job descriptions along with our job catalogue and career framework, and compiling reports and corresponding analysis as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Identify and resolve issues and employee questions regarding compensation

  • Produce specific reports as requested

  • Assist with the tracking of survey participation and associated deadlines and requirements

  • Assist with prioritization and tracking of workflows within JDXpert

  • Logging information / details regarding job changes, job description requests, ensuring all necessary information is accounted for prior to tasks being routed to the Compensation Partner or Total Compensation Assistant Manager for completion

  • Review and revise job descriptions provided by HRBPS to ensure they include all necessary components and details to be assessed by the Compensation Partner or Assistant Compensation Manager

  • Assist with the management of our Equity Award programs and the platform utilized to provide employees access to their awards / accounts

  • Make Stock Option Exercise entries for payroll

  • Assist with the tax collection that results from annual vesting of restricted stock awards

  • Notify employees of impending stock option expiration dates or upcoming taxes that will be due on restricted stock

  • Assist with compiling variable / incentive compensation data for regularly scheduled payouts

  • Gather data and summarize regarding the ADA, FLSA, other regulatory bodies that speak to compensation to keep other members of the Compensation team up to speed as things change and evolve

  • Assist with the drafting and distribution of Variable and Incentive Compensation agreements, and the administration of all Compensation Plans as well as the auditing of data provided by the Business Units

  • Upload Compensation Documents and assist with retention according to the HR Document Retention Policy

  • Utilize a variety of system and software tools to analyze data, maintain compliance, utilize market data, and be proactive

  • Audit systems to ensure data integrity

  • Develop testing procedures to ensure operational reliability and software processes and procedures

  • Manage personal workload / workflow

  • Perform troubleshooting as needed

  • Maximize technology tools available

  • Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations, Northwest’s practices and policies, and with third party vendors and agencies

  • Ensure total document / data integrity

  • Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations

  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency

  • Work as part of a team

  • Work with on-site equipment

Education + Work Experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related

  • 2-6 years of Human Resources / Compensation experience

  • 2-6 years of Customer Service experience

  • Highly detail oriented

  • Strong critical thinking abilities
