JOB SUMMARY
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and management of Schnucks’ broad base compensation, incentive plans, and paid time off programs to align with the company’s business and talent strategies.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the continued implementation of compensation strategies that support the organization's business objectives, market competitiveness and employee engagement
Leads compensation related projects, such as annual salary reviews, short-term incentives, compensation audits, implementation of new compensation initiatives.
Participates in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends. Prepares analysis of company’s competitive position
Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines and recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems
Audits job content and assists with preparation of job descriptions. Evaluates new job roles and develops job profiles as require
Maintains and updates salary structures to ensure they remain competitive and equitable
Analyze compensation data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for informed decision making. Serve as a resource for compensation matters, providing guidance and recommendations to peers and leadership.
Partners with HR colleagues and People Leaders to educate and advise on Schnucks compensation programs
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
Other Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in compensation or total rewards.
Professional certifications or courses taken such as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM-CP, PHR or similar, are a plus. Workday experience is a plus.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.Skilled in utilizing Excel functions, formulas, and data analysis techniques to manipulate and interpret compensation data effectively.
Experience with compensation software, particularly Workday, including configuration, administration, and reporting.
Solid understanding of relevant federal, state, and local compensation laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Planning, execution, coordination, and organizational skills; proficient at independently prioritizing and multitasking to achieve results
Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and explain compensation best practices, policies, programs, and processes
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.
Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships
Organizational and time management skills
