Responsibilities

The Manager of Compensation is responsible for the leading the compensation function including the design, implementation and ongoing evaluation of the Power Delivery compensation programs ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and competitive practices.   This role requires a hands-on yet strategic leaders with deep expertise in compensation theory and practice. 

 

  • Leverage developed expertise in compensation program design and administration to support our efforts to attract, reward, engage, and retain a high-performing workforce.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs to ensure they are aligned with business strategy, market trends, and are driving the desired behaviors and results.
  • Serve as the compensation subject matter expert and strategic advisor to senior leadership, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partners.
  • Develop and deliver training and communication materials to educate leaders and employees on the compensation programs, philosophy, and processes to increase understanding.
  • Oversee year-end compensation planning process and other compensation review cycle(s) that promote fairness, stewardship and transparency.
  • Manage key projects including configuration, testing, and implementation of HRIS systems, pay equity reviews, special market wage studies, etc.
  • Keep apprised of federal, state, local employment laws and regulations and collective bargaining agreements to ensure company compliance.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Region HR, and Talent Acquisition to develop, manage, and communicate about compensation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or seven years of progressively responsible experience in employee compensation with at least two years in a supervisory role.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs, in a multistate organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and effectively communicate data to all audiences.
  • Ability to organize complex projects and demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate diplomatically, persuasively, and effectively in both oral and written formats.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
