About this position:
LMCU is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Compensation Manager to join our Talent Management team. In this role, you'll partner with LMCU leaders to design, develop, and implement compensation programs that align with organizational goals and attract, motivate, and retain top talent. You'll conduct research, analyze compensation data, maintain salary structures, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations while effectively advising executive leadership, HR leaders, business partners, and managers on compensation strategies to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices across the organization.
What you’ll do:
· Partner with LMCU leaders to design and implement compensation strategies, oversee salary administration programs, and consult on variable pay and incentive programs
· Conduct market research and participate in compensation surveys to analyze salary trends, industry standards, and geographical pay competitiveness
· Ensure competitive and equitable pay practices by monitoring pay equity, conducting regular audits, and evaluating pay structures and salary grades
· Serve as primary owner of job evaluation processes, assessing roles and responsibilities to determine appropriate pay grades, classifications, and exemption status
· Maintain compliance with state and federal compensation laws while developing processes for accurate job grading and department compensation calibration)
What You’ll Bring:
· Five or more years of compensation, administration or advisory experience
· Previous experience in the Financial Industry, Mortgage Industry, or working with commission plans preferred
· CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification preferred
· Strong knowledge of compensation practices, pay structures, and market trends with proficiency in data analysis and HRIS or compensation management software
· Ability to create and lead compelling presentations with executives and cross-functional teams, with excellent oral and written communication skills
· In-depth understanding of federal and state labor laws with strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and proven ability to maintain confidentiality in a corporate environment
