Position Summary:  The People Operations Manager plays a critical role in advancing strategic human capital initiatives through data-driven insights, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration. This position is responsible for leading compensation benchmarking and analysis, maintaining and enhancing HR analytics dashboards to inform decision-making, and managing organizational structure data and reporting. Additionally, this role partners on total rewards and workforce reporting strategies, while serving as a backup for payroll and benefits administration to ensure continuity and compliance in core HR operations.


Responsibilities

Compensation Planning & Benchmarking

  • Conducts market compensation benchmarking using industry surveys and tools to assess internal pay equity and external market competitiveness.
  • Analyzes compensation data and trends to inform salary structure design, certification leveling, bonus planning, and pay-for-performance initiatives.
  • Supports the annual compensation cycle by preparing and maintaining merit and bonus eligibility worksheets, award letters, and related documentation.
  • Develops compensation models and analytical tools under the guidance of executive HR leadership to support data-driven compensation decisions.
  • Ensures all compensation practices comply with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Data Analytics

  • Develops and maintains comprehensive HR dashboards that deliver actionable insights into key workforce metrics, including recruitment trends, headcount, workforce demographics, turnover, span of control, employee movement, and job leveling.
  • Prepares data-driven reports to support monthly business reviews, board presentations, and regulatory filings.
  • Analyzes HR data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for strategic focus or improvement.
  • Monitors and ensures data accuracy and integrity across all HR systems and reporting tools. 
  • Supports special projects focused on organizational design, role architecture, and workforce analytics to enhance strategic planning and operational effectiveness.

Performance Management

  • Manages employee data in Lattice, including importing new hires and updating records to reflect employee changes.
  • Configures, maintains, and optimizes performance management system workflows (e.g., goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end evaluations) to support the organization's performance cycle, ensuring alignment with HR policy, system functionality, and business timelines.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves system issues related to performance forms, access, and reporting during review cycles.
  • Conducts audits to validate performance ratings and compensation decisions are aligned and appropriately documented.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Creates and updates organizational charts in alignment with business changes and workforce planning efforts.
  • Facilitates the job description process including new job descriptions, changes, updating salary band file, and two-year reviews.
  • Facilitates periodic reviews and updates of employee handbooks and HR policies in collaboration with internal stakeholders and General Counsel, ensuring alignment with regulatory changes and organizational practices. Tracks and maintains records of employee handbook acknowledgment receipts.
  • Coordinate the annual distribution of commission plan documents to all eligible sales staff. Ensures that each recipient receives the appropriate plan based on their role and level. Tracks acknowledgments and confirmations of receipt to maintain compliance and proper documentation for audit purposes.


Payroll & Benefits

  • Serves as backup support for Payroll processing.
  • Conducts Benefits and ADP presentations during New Employee Orientation.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all payroll and benefits information.


What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business or human resources.
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in HR analytics, compensation or HR operations.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently and clearly in front of groups, including new employee orientations and ad hoc presentations at leadership meetings.
