The role you’ll contribute\:

The Program Director of Provider Compensation leads the development and implementation of strategic initiatives surrounding provider compensation for Primary Care Network (PCN). In addition, this role provides consultative subject matter expertise on all aspects of provider compensation for all specialties and provider types and works proactively with executive management and legal counsel on interpretation of existing compensation plans. This position significantly impacts the medical group's goals to attract, engage and retain top provider talent by continually evaluating and improving provider compensation models and strategies. This leader keeps abreast of changes in the provider compensation marketplace, including change from volume to value, and proposes changes to current compensation plans to keep pace with the market within legal and regulatory requirements. This leader actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

  • SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY\: * Leads development and implementation of Provider Compensation philosophy, guiding principles, citizenship metrics and quality metrics. * Works proactively with executive management and legal counsel on interpretation of existing compensation plans * Serves as the industry expert within PCN to keep abreast of changes in the provider compensation marketplace, including change from volume to value, and proposes changes to current compensation plans to keep pace with the market within legal and regulatory requirements * Designs standardized approach for Provider Compensation methodology among specialties for both Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. * Develops and supervises physician compensation models, including the planning of acquisitions and service line development. * Conducts annual analytical review of each employed provider’s pay structure to deliver a fair market value (FMV) plan that also meets Commercial Reasonableness (CR) Testing * Collaborates with AHPE in CR Watchlist activities and ensure reporting and monitoring of Action Plans. * Acts as a liaison with external fair market valuators (FMV) and furnishes requested data to perform FMV analyses * Proactively identifies opportunities and recommends options for standardizing and / or improving the accuracy of physician compensation metrics and calculations * Partners with physician practice operational leaders and executives in development and design of compensation plans or arrangements * Conducts analysis of provider compensation calculations and impact of possible achievement levels of performance targets. * Identifies areas of potential risk and low performance to coordinate action plans in collaboration with leadership * Evaluates the financial impact of new compensation plans to inform decision-making. * Communicates effectively and works collaboratively with legal services, management, compliance, internal audit, and finance to support regulatory and business requirements * Responsible for all call pay and medical director contracts for review and payments. * Provides mentorship and training for providers and team members at PCN
  • COMPLIANCE/REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY\: * Lead the Provider Compensation Governance Committee for Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers * Accountable for assuring compliance and providing evidence of performance. * Adheres to applicable practice standards specific to area of responsibility.
  • OPERATING & CAPITAL BUDGET/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY\: * Ensures that all departments within scope of responsibility operate within allocated budget. * Implements financial strategies to provide effective fiscal management of provider compensation programs. Participates in preparation of budgets for assigned area.
