We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Return to Work (RTW) / Workers Compensation Specialist to support our Australian client. This offshore role requires a mix of administrative, payroll, and finance skills, combined with an understanding of Australian workers compensation processes. The ideal candidate is curious about medical cases, highly organised, and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Return to Work & Workers Compensation Support
Assist in managing worker claims and coordinate return-to-work plans
Maintain accurate records of claims, including time off work and medical details
Understand the nature of injuries to support decision-making and reporting
Liaise with insurers, workers, and internal teams regarding claims
Payroll & Finance Support
Process payroll for employees on leave due to injury or workers compensation
Verify and reconcile insurer payments to ensure accurate refunds and claim matches
Support basic finance tasks related to workers compensation and claims
Administrative Support
Maintain organised and up-to-date electronic and paper records for all cases
Generate reports as needed for management or regulatory compliance
Follow established procedures and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience with payroll and basic finance functions
Knowledge or curiosity about medical terminology and injury types
Understanding of the Australian workers compensation process and regulations
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in HR, payroll, insurance, or workers compensation support
Exposure to Australian workplace compliance and claim management systems
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
