We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career Consulting team at Mercer as a Senior Compensation Consultant. This role can be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Senior Compensation Consultant will support companies in the design and execution of performance measurement and reward strategies that reinforce business objectives, working closely with a premier client base consisting of large complex Canadian and global organizations.

We will count on you to:

  • Structure, direct, review, and interpret analyses performed by project teams.

  • Structure and/or review client deliverables.

  • Provide consulting services to Compensation Committees and/or senior management on a variety of remuneration issues, including competitiveness of pay and benefits, performance measurement, and governance and regulatory implications.

  • Provide consulting services on broader Human Capital issues.

  • Generate revenue through development of new client relationships and build and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • At least 8+ years’ relevant work experience in compensation.

  • Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills.

  • Strong financial and business acumen.

  • Knowledge of HR business processes.

  • Strong finance and accounting skills.

  • Proven project management skills and creative problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $141,000 to $233,500.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
