JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the organization remains competitive and equitable in its compensation practices. This position is responsible for implementing and maintaining compensation programs, conducting market benchmarking, supporting job architecture and evaluation, and delivering data-driven insights to guide compensation decisions. The role requires close collaboration with HR, Finance, Payroll, and Benefits teams, and involves strategic support for workforce planning and employee benefits. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in compensation strategy, strong analytical capabilities, and a proactive, service-oriented approach to supporting internal stakeholders.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Compensation Program Management

  • Implement and maintain compensation programs, policies, and structures aligned with organizational goals.
  • Advise managers and HR Business Partners on pay decisions, promotions, and internal equity.
  • Administers headcount and compensation planning process in partnership with Finance and HR leadership.

Market Benchmarking & Survey Participation

  • Benchmark jobs using market survey data and other intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges and ensure internal equity across TCC, TDC, STI, LTI, benefits, and perks.
  • Participate in salary surveys and maintain compensation data repositories.

Job Architecture & Evaluation

  • Support job evaluations, leveling, and classification processes.
  • Conduct job analysis and present findings to support compensation decisions.

Compensation Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct research and analyze compensation data to support new hire offers, promotions, and other status changes.
  • Prepare and present summary reports and insights to HR and business leaders.
  • Perform periodic audits of pay structures, job codes, and classifications to ensure compliance and consistency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure seamless execution of compensation programs.
  • Partner with HR team members to support internal customers with a service-oriented mindset.

Education & Communication

  • Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on compensation policies, programs, and structures.
  • Support communication efforts around compensation initiatives and changes.

Strategic Support

  • Research employee benefits trends in similar industries and recommend updates to existing offerings.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives by providing compensation insights and modeling.

General

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Working in-office is an essential function of this position.  This requirement of face-to-face interaction is in place to ensure effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork.  In-office attendance is required for the following reasons:
    • For effective supervision of employees and our work product, which includes ensuring all employees have necessary oversight of their work and access to supervisory assistance, which includes meetings to review work product, deadlines, and status.
    • To foster communication and collaboration among team members, which includes the following: allowing for spontaneous brainstorming sessions and exchanges of ideas, quick access to team members to enable collaborative problem-solving, and stronger cohesion among co-workers and within teams.
    • To enhance the sharing of information necessary to effective job performance and product creation. 
    • To enhance understanding of our stakeholders’ work and business needs, facilitate a more seamless and organic workflow, and ultimately increase efficiency and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Five to eight years of experience specifically as a Compensation Specialist.
  • Experience in the Video Gaming industry a plus.
  • Experience in implementing compensation function and programs from the ground up.
  • Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Excellent analytical, design, and organization skills, with outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, as well as attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, change in direction, and working autonomously under general direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Expert in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint; previous experience with building graphical displays of data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
