Summary

As a Senior Compensation Manager, you will serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert on enterprise-wide compensation programs. This role is responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing compensation strategies that align with Freeman’s business objectives and talent goals. You will partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that ensure competitiveness, equity, and compliance across the organization.

 

This position will support our Human Resources team.  It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week.  This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leadership, HR, Finance, and Legal to design and implement compensation strategies that support business priorities and talent objectives.
  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives such as annual compensation planning, M&A due diligence, organizational restructuring, and compliance reviews.
  • Utilize advanced analytical and consulting skills to ensure job architecture is competitive, equitable, and aligned with company goals.
  • Conduct advanced financial and talent impact modeling to inform strategic decisions on pay programs, merit matrices, and incentive structures.
  • Benchmark external market trends and perform internal equity analyses to maintain Freeman’s position as an employer of choice.
  • Create compelling, data-driven presentations and recommendations for executives and business partners to influence decision-making.
  • Drive change management and communication strategies for compensation programs in partnership with internal stakeholders, including HR Business Partners, HR Shared Services, IT, and Communications.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation compliance, governance, and best practices across the enterprise.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year college or university with a concentration in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Human Resources is required; an advanced degree or CCP certification strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in compensation strategy and program design, including incentive and total rewards administration.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Expert-level analytical skills with advanced Excel (macros, complex modeling).
  • Proficient in administering compensation modules in HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors preferred).
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, enterprise-wide compensation projects—including annual planning, M&A integration, and organizational redesign—to deliver on time and within scope.
  • Experience designing and implementing job architecture frameworks.
  • Experience utilizing AI tools for market analysis and benchmarking.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
