Total Rewards Analyst

While reporting to the Compensation and Benefits Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day support of benefit and compensation operations,  with a focus on administration and compliance. You will use benefit process knowledge to work effectively with vendors to solve short term issues and to foster long term continuous improvements.  In addition, this role involves analyzing compensation and benefits data, conducting market research, and ensuring compliance with company compensation and benefits policies and legal regulations. 

What you'll be doing:

Compensation:  

  • Help analyze compensation data to identify trends and make recommendations.
  • Prepare and present reports on compensation analysis, metrics and trends. 
  • Participate in compensation surveys and analyze survey data to benchmark company positions.
  • Support the annual compensation review process.
  • Maintain and update compensation data, databases and systems.  
  • Assists Manager with job evaluation of new and revised positions.  Conduct job matches against survey database and make recommendations for market pricing.
  • Generates reports from HRIS system to meet business needs .
  • Provides guidance to managers through the interpretation of employee compensation programs.

Benefit Administration:

  •  Document benefit administrative relationships, including file interfaces and frequency.  
  • Log appropriate benefit issues and level of detail in third party tools (Aptia365, etc.).
  •  Identify areas with consistent administrative issues and work with third parties to correct or adjust systems and processes.
  • Ensure accurate application of eligibility and benefit plan design within various vendor systems. 
  • Work with team members and vendors to update systems and processes in support of annual enrollment changes.
  • Assist with filing of all routine government filings (e.g. Forms 5500, ACA) for benefits plans.
  • Collect information and ensure timely distribution of required technical notices (e.g. Summary Annual Reports) to participants.
  • Ensure union contract updates are applied to administrative systems (Ben Admin, benefit carriers, etc.)
  • Develop excel spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations as needed.
  • Work with peers and support cross-functional sharing of information.

This position is located in our Charlotte, NC (Uptown Area) or Hartsville, SC Office

 

We’d love to hear from you if:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits analysis or a related field.
  • You have a working knowledge of health care reform legislation, HIPAA, , and other current legislation related to health plans.
  • Experience with compensation survey tools and HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze situations, find solutions and make decisions without immediate supervision.
  • Ability to understand and document complicated workflows and multiple layers of vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data accurately and timely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.

Compensation:   

The annual base salary range for this role is from $79,356 to $89,928
