Position Mission:
- This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration of various Total Rewards programs, including minimum wage management, base pay, health/welfare plans and other Total Rewards programs offered at Coffee & Bagel Brands.
- This position will provide consultation and subject matter expertise to HR Partners and business leaders on Total Rewards related items.
- This position will assist companies within Coffee & Bagel Brands to maintain a competitive Total Rewards practice by participating in market evaluations, keeping track of trends and cutting-edge practices, as well as ensuring the organization is in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
- Compensation Program Related (25% Focus):
- Responsible for the job analysis process by serving as the point of contact for job description reviews and job analysis requests; ensures documentation submitted by HR Partners is accurate, completes analysis as appropriate, analyzes job descriptions and reviews job descriptions for accuracy in grade, title, FLSA status.
- Responsible for partnering with HR Partners, business leaders and other functions regarding clarifications and discrepancies; responsible for ad-hoc, functional, and full market analyses.
- Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administration of short-term incentive programs, to include the annual payout process, reporting changes within the programs, program documentation and communication, data audits, and working with HR Partners to ensure proper employee participation.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the long-term incentive program, to include all relevant files, data integrity and processing within equity platform, forfeitures, execution of annual payouts and grant processes, monthly audits, and assisting with employee and leader communications.
- Benefit Program Related (65% Focus):
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of various employee benefit programs including group medical, dental, disability and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, COBRA, retirement plans and other benefits, including plan reconciliations and audits.
- Assists in the management of open enrollment, preparing employee communications and educating employees and HR Partners about benefit offerings.
- Health & welfare plan vendor management including relationship building, escalation of issues, and partnering with Benefit Specialist and vendor representative on file errors from benefit enrollment system to vendor.
- Partner with Benefits Manager on annual renewal and open enrollment initiatives including communication plan, testing, system set-up and execution of open enrollment.
- Manage administration of the 401(K) plan, including but not limited to employee communications, coordination of Investment Committee meetings, vendor management/relations, annual audit, discrimination testing, and compliance mailings.
- Develop, maintain and oversee work/life programs and initiatives, such as sabbaticals, scholarships and adoption assistance.
- Work with the Total Rewards leader to benchmark with peers, analyze team member needs and industry trends to make informed recommendations on innovative and competitive benefit offerings.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, FMLA, USERRA, and other federal, state, and local laws as applicable; partnering with Benefits Manager, broker and counsel as needed.
- General Total Rewards Related (10% Focus):
- Responsible for identifying process efficiencies within role, developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, and presenting information to diverse audiences.
- Responsible for maintaining a deep and thorough understanding of HR systems and equity platform; identifies efficiencies to be gained in business processes.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Motivated self-starter, able to function with minimal supervision.
- Agility, sound judgment, independent thinking, follow-through, and initiative.
- Ability to efficiently identify and solve moderately complex issues.
- Strong communication and organizational skills necessary in working with business leaders, HR Partners, and associates; able to present complex information.
- Strong proficiency with computers, Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and HR systems, specifically Workday.
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information, strong financial acumen, high level of professionalism.
- Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
- Knowledge of HR laws, concepts, and practices.
- Working knowledge of Workday HRMS system
Education/Training/Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred.
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience preferred.
- Compensation and/or benefit experience required.

Compensation Range:
$58,406.40 - $102,211.20 per year
*Starting pay is subject to Local and State Minimum Wage regulations.
