Description

Summary

The position is under the general direction of the Worker’s Compensation Coordinator. 

The main focus of this position is to effectively coordinate worker’s compensation cases for patients from intake to discharge. This position will provide personalized correspondence and individualized process management between patients, Worker’s Compensation (WC) industry personnel, clinical staff.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all tasks and correspondence related to obtaining authorizations from WC carriers at the onset of treatment.
  • Manage all documentation submission to include faxing/emailing of initial evaluations, referrals, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Assist in delivering timely communication of status, progress updates, and general correspondence with WC carriers.
  • Assist WC carriers in retrieving all necessary case documentation as needed for reimbursement.
  • Follow all internal process guidelines to assist Physicians, Clinical and and billing staff in determining approval status.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Staff to identify case issues and trigger documentation as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred (Healthcare concentration preferred).
  • 2 years of customer service experience (Healthcare or Work Comp background preferred).
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients, patients, and physician staff and to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Strong time management skills and detail orientation.
  • Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled in Windows; MS Office; EMR; Email.
  • Ability to work in an office setting.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience.
