Job Summary:

This role will be responsible for the administration of Movement’s benefits and retirement programs, including but not limited to: core benefits (medical, dental, vision) life insurance, retirement, disability, and other leaves of absence. This role will participate in the design of new benefits programs, vendor identification and vetting. The administrator will also continually evaluate the performance of existing benefits programs and provide data to support findings and recommended actions. This role will research job requirements and evaluate job positions against company pay philosophies to ensure that Movement is competitive in the areas of pay and benefits.

This is a full-time remote-based role. Candidates must have the ability to travel to gym locations on a periodic basis (OR, CA, CO, DFW – TX, IL, NY, PA, VA/MD/DC Metro). Expected travel is less than 10%.

Core Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration

  • Ensure the accuracy of benefits enrollments into the HRIS to provide vendors with eligibility information.
  • Manage EDI file feeds to and from vendors and HRIS.
  • Assist Team Members regarding benefits claim issues and determinations of eligibility.
  • Manage Qualifying Life Event eligibility and enrollments.
  • Process and administer leave requests and disability paperwork, in conjunction with vendors.
  • Respond to 401(k) inquiries from Team Members relating to enrollments, plan changes, and contributions.
  • Lead the Open Enrollment process.
  • Review benefits invoices and self-bills for accuracy and approval for payment.
  • Participate in annual benefits renewal process with Chief People Officer and outside benefits broker team.
  • Serve as primary contact for plans vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Document and maintain internal administrative procedures.
  • Participate in plan audits.
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientation and open enrollment.
  • Create and maintain reports, tools, and analytics to support usage and performance of benefits programs.
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform decision-making processes.
  • Provide change management expertise and support when rolling out new and/or improved benefits programs and vendor changes.
  • Prioritize a great user experience and maximize adoption of new features.

Compensation Administration

  • Maintain job descriptions, career ladders, and career matrix for the organization.
  • Benchmark jobs and pay against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation range for each role and physical location.
  • Maintain pay grades and compensation planning tools.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Talent Management to establish best practices for hiring, training, base pay, and incentive planning.
  • Work with Chief People Officer and Finance to make recommendations for pay grade updates due to inflation, regional influences, market changes, and minimum wage changes.
  • Work with Chief People Officer to make recommendations and model alternatives for annual performance review merit increases.

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field. 3-5 years’ experience may be substituted for education.
  • Two years of experience in HR and/or benefits administration.
  • Preferred SHRM, HRCI, or other certification in Benefits and Compensation Management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Experience with HRIS/HCM platforms. Dayforce preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.

Compensation: This is salaried, exempt tole.  Pay range is $65-70k annually, and is dependent on skills, experience, and location.
