Location – This is a hybrid role, which means that you will have the flexibility to work both onsite and at a distance. You will collaborate onsite at our Cashton, WI office for 4-8 days per month and the rest of the time you can choose to work remotely or onsite.

Summary of Role

The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for the strategic design, implementation and administration of CROPP’s total rewards programs, including compensation, benefits, wellbeing, payroll and HRIS. This role ensures that our programs support the cooperatives mission, attract and retain top talent and remain compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

o Develop and execute a comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with business goals 
o Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team across compensation, benefits, payroll, wellbeing and HRIS functions
o Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to senior leadership on total rewards trends, compliance and innovations. 
o Oversee the administration of CROPP’s self-funded health insurance plan, including vendor management, claims analysis and cost containment. 
o Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPPA COBRA and other applicable regulations. 
o Promote holistic employee wellness initiatives 
o Create a total rewards communication strategy so all employees understand their benefits available to them at CROPP. 
o Manage the design and implementation of compensation structures, salary benchmarking and incentive programs
o Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness through regular market analysis and job evaluations 
o Oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely processing 
o Handles confidential information with discretion.
o Ensures compliance with policies, safety procedures, and fair employment practices.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities
o Serve as a back up to payroll as needed.
o Serve as a back up to benefit and compensation administration as needed.
o Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

o Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field 
o Minimum of 10 years of progressive Human Resource experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing total rewards. 
o Experience managing self-funded health insurance plans is required 
o Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits and compensation laws and regulations
o Proven ability to lead a high performing team. 
o Experience with HRIS systems – Dayforce experience preferred 
o Strong analytical and quantitative skills coupled with strategic/big picture orientation
o Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, collaboration, verbal communication, presentation, organization, decision-making and planning skills
o Ability to influence, negotiate and build collaborative relationships across the organization

Base salary wage range: $92,760 - $131,550 per year
This salary wage range is exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. If you are hired at CROPP, your final base salary wage compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role should expect to be at the lower end of the salary wage range and hiring at the maximum of the salary wage range is not typical.
